The application can be set to search for all files or a just selected file type. Different filters and options are available in order to make the search more precise, for example, you can look for files according to their size or choose to ignore file names or dates, which allows the app to analyze file content. You can also select among several file removal methods: permanent, to the recycle bin, to the Rescue Center.
The analysis is fast and results are displayed on a list that can be ordered in several ways, which makes the selection of files for removal very convenient. One big downside is that the application does not include a file previewer, which, in the case of image files, forces you to open each individual photo with the Windows viewer. You can use DuplicateFilesDeleter, it is a fast way to find and delete all junk files.
This program made it easy to delete duplicate files from a recovered hard drive with only numbers as filenames. It scanned 300gb of data and found 30gb of duplicate pictures, videos, software and documents. All done in 10 minutes. It showed the path of each file, the file size and allowed me to select which ones I wanted to delete.
